Sharon Thompson has worked in the software industry for over 17 years and has been the organizer of a technical professional networking group called “GeekMeet Tucson”, for the past 3 years. She has had the privilege of working as a remote employee for over a decade and understands the importance of networking and growing your professional community. As the organizer of the GeekMeet Tucson chapter, her goal is to help others find like-minded individuals with whom they can share experiences, learn from, and have as a part of their own personal community to grow as individuals and professionals.

In this presentation I will review what are the most up-to-date cosmological observations and theory interpretations that can be made or questioned about our space-time evolution.

 

Dr. Lucien Heurtier

Post-Doctoral Researcher in Theoretical Physics at the University of Arizona
Dr. Lucien Heurtier recently moved to Tucson, AZ as a post-doctorate researcher at the University of Arizona’s Physics Department. His main focus is to explain the fundamental nature of dark matter, try to understand the universe behaviour right after the Big Bang and make predictions for astrophysical observations and particle colliders. He also showed interest in the study of black holes, flavour physics and string theory. His previous post-doc was at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and he completed his PhD at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France.
